When teams and organisations have a shared purpose, it becomes a source of energy and engagement that ignites creativity, innovation, trust, loyalty and resilience. A team’s shared purpose is not what the team does at work; the team’s shared purpose is the contribution that they are making to the world which is expressed through that work.
I hold the belief that every team and organisation has an innate purpose, cause or contribution to the world, even if they are not aware of it. A team’s shared purpose is already there, waiting to be unpacked and discovered. My job is to help you clarify what your shared purpose is.
What happens in the Team Purpose discovery programme:
- 3-4 weeks before the Workshop – I coach the leaders/managers on discovering their individual life purpose so that they have a framework for orienting themselves to their personal and professional lives.
- During the Workshop – We will work to discover the team’s shared purpose through structured conversations around their stories of work, events and situations which were meaningful to the individual members of the team.
- Post Workshop – I work with the team to uncover HOW they want to show up and act in alignment with the team’s Purpose, so that they can keep accessing the energy and sense of fulfilment that comes with being purpose-centred at work.
